PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy at Los Angeles General Medical Center

The program is designed to prepare the resident for a career in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy and clinical practice. There is a diverse patient population, predominantly patients who are minorities, immigrants, and those with limited access to healthcare or low socioeconomic status. Besides common infectious diseases of urinary tract infections, pneumonia, etc., we see a high volume of patients with mycobacterial infections and complications of HIV, such as opportunistic infections.
