The MS in Biopharmaceutical Marketing program features an applied curriculum that prepares graduates for marketing-focused healthcare business careers. Our targeted approach offers career-accelerating tactics and insights critical for increasing the speed and quality of marketing decisions for biopharmaceutical product managers, healthcare industry analysts and consultants.

We encourage students from all backgrounds to apply. To be eligible, applicants should have earned a bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

After you create your account, select the following information under the “add program” tab:

  • School: USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Program Level: Master’s or Graduate Certificate
  • Department: Select the program
  • Term: Select which semester you are applying for

Please upload a two-page statement of purpose. The document should be in 12-point font, single-spaced, with one-inch margins.

In your statement, address why you are interested in healthcare, and why specifically the programs in healthcare decision analysis or biopharmaceutical marketing at the USC Mann School.

At least two letters of recommendation must accompany your application. Recommenders will receive notification from USC, and must submit their letters through the USC online application system. 

As the applicant, you are responsible for ensuring that your recommenders upload the letter into the application system.

Upload your resume or curriculum vitae. 

GRE or GMAT scores are not required for admission to this program.

International graduate applicants are expected to demonstrate their proficiency in English as part of the application process and should carefully review the test score guidelines. USC accepts TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge and PTE Academic. Learn more

The division awards the Faculty Merit Award to individuals who have been admitted to either the 33-unit Master of Science in Healthcare Decision Analysis or the 27-unit Master in Biopharmaceutical Marketing program based upon academic merit and personal qualities as detailed in their application. The recipient is selected by a committee of reviewers comprised of faculty and staff.

Eligibility: All applicants who have applied to either the 33-unit Master of Science in Healthcare Decision Analysis or the 27-unit Master in Biopharmaceutical Marketing for the fall semester will be taken into consideration.

The Division of Healthcare & Biopharmaceutical Business currently offers the Department-Funded Faculty Merit Award based on scholastic achievement and leadership qualities and can only be used toward tuition expenses.

If you are receiving financial aid, due to federal financial aid guidelines your award package may be affected through a reduction in your overall award amount. If you have any questions about the impact on your financial aid, please contact the school Financial Aid Office at (323) 442-1466 or by email at pharmfao@usc.edu.
