Please follow the steps below to submit your application. We encourage students from all backgrounds to apply. To be eligible, applicants should have earned a bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Applications are accepted for admission for spring and fall semesters, and students may enter into the program at either semester throughout the year.
How to Apply
Submit your application using the USC Graduate Online Application System. Any technical questions should be directed to ASK USC.
- Select “Create Account”
- Under “Add Program” tab, select the following information:
- School: USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Program Level: Master OR Graduate Certificate
- Department: Select the program
- Term: Select which semester you are applying for
- Delivery: On-Campus
- Go to the “My Application” tab to fill out the Personal Information, Academic History, Supporting Information (optional), and Program Materials quadrants
- Statement of Purpose
- Upload a two-page statement of purpose; single-spaced, 12-point font, one-inch margins
- In your SOP, please be sure to address why you are interested in healthcare, and why specifically the Healthcare Decision Analysis (or Biopharmaceutical Marketing) program at USC Mann
- Letters of Recommendation
- At least two letters of recommendation must accompany your application
- Recommenders must submit their letters through the USC Online Application System
- The recommender will receive notification from USC so that they can submit their letter of recommendation
- You are responsible for ensuring that your recommenders upload an accompanying letter of recommendation to the system
- Resume/curriculum vitae
- $90 application fee (mandatory)
- The program does not administer the online application system and cannot comment on and/or waive the fee

- No GRE/GMAT test scores required

1. TOEFL, IELTS or PTE or Cambridge English
- If applicable, request that the testing agency send official TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or Cambridge English test scores to USC
- USC’s ETS Institution Code is 4852 or University of Southern California. A program code is not necessary

Scholarships and Financial Aid
The division awards the Faculty Merit Award to individuals who have been admitted to either the 33-unit Master of Science in Healthcare Decision Analysis or the 27-unit Master in Biopharmaceutical Marketing program based upon academic merit and personal qualities as detailed in their application. The recipient is selected by a committee of reviewers comprised of faculty and staff.
Eligibility: All applicants who have applied to either the 33-unit Master of Science in Healthcare Decision Analysis or the 27-unit Master in Biopharmaceutical Marketing for the fall semester will be taken into consideration.
The Division of Healthcare & Biopharmaceutical Business currently offers the Department-Funded Faculty Merit Award based on scholastic achievement and leadership qualities and can only be used toward tuition expenses.
If you are receiving financial aid, due to federal financial aid guidelines your award package may be affected through a reduction in your overall award amount.
