The USC Mann School will host its second annual fall symposium, “The Future of Pharmacy Business and Practice,” at the USC Health Sciences Campus on Friday, October 2.
The day will include a fireside chat with Richard Moscicki, MD, former executive vice president and chief medical officer of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and former deputy center director for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
Panel discussions will explore state legislative efforts addressing PBM vertical integration, next-generation career opportunities for pharmacists, and the role of pharmacists in an increasingly fragmented drug marketplace.

Robert Popovian, chairman of the USC Mann Board of Councilors and founder of Conquest Advisors; Kari Franson, professor of clinical pharmacy, senior associate dean for academic and student affairs and director of USC Mann Sports Pharmacy Programs; and William Padula, USC Mann associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Health Economics, will moderate the day’s discussions.
