Tatyana Gurvich, PharmD, CGP, has joined the faculty of the Titus Department of Clinical Pharmacy as assistant professor of clinical pharmacy (clinician educator).
A geriatric clinical pharmacologist, she comes to the USC School of Pharmacy after 26 years at the Adventist Health Glendale Family Medicine Residency Program as clinical faculty. She has fostered interprofessional collaboration between physicians and pharmacists throughout her career and is continuing to develop a teaching model to integrate pharmacy and medical education.
Over the span of her 26-year career in clinical pharmacy she has developed pharmacology curricula for postgraduate medical education, teaching family medicine residents and geriatric fellows, has been involved in developing successful collaborative clinical pharmacy practices teaching pharmacy students and pharmacy residents, developed clinical practice guidelines for long-term care and managed care companies, and served as a clinical editor for a major publisher of drug textbooks and reference materials.
Gurvich received a PharmD from the USC School of Pharmacy and a B.S. in biology from USC. She completed a geriatric pharmacology residency at USC at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center.
