Scholarship Surge

A record amount of scholarship support has been distributed to School of Pharmacy students during the 2018–19 academic year. Increasing scholarship support is essential to the school’s ability to attract and retain the top talent who will serve as tomorrow’s leaders in the profession, Dean Vassilios Papadopoulos notes.

“Scholarship support opens up opportunities for talented, hardworking students to benefit from the exemplary education and experiences that our school provides,” he says. “These students will go on to boldly shape the future of our field.”

“My scholarship allowed me to move from the East Coast to bring a different perspective to USC Mann community,” says Jeremy Dow, PharmD Class of 2021. Such generosity, he adds, enables students to pursue their dreams.

“Words cannot describe how fortunate I was to receive a scholarship. The financial assistance greatly impacted my life and allowed me to better focus on my academic workload,” says Marina Boulos, PharmD Class of 2019. “Furthermore, this generous gift has fueled me to work harder in order to give back to the institution that has paved my career and equipped me to be a successful pharmacist.”
