Houda Alachkar, PharmD, PhD, won an American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Research Institute Futures Grant for the project “Pharmacogenomics of Age-Specific, Asparaginase-Induced Hepatotoxicity in Patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia” under the mentorship of Enrique Cadenas, MD, PhD.
The Junior Investigator Award was presented on Sunday, October 8, during the ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix.
The ACCP Research Institute Frontiers Fund supports clinical pharmacy researcher development and clinical pharmacy research advancement. Through its Futures Grants program, the Research Institute Board of Trustees is especially interested in supporting the development of research skills among student, trainee, and early-career ACCP members with a goal of establishing sustained interest and careers in clinical pharmacy research.
