An Update from Our Dean

August 30, 2019

Dear Friends of USC Mann,

Dean Vassilios Papadopoulos

Last week, we welcomed 338 new students to campus in a dozen different degree programs. With 197 entering students, our PharmD class of 2023 is among the largest in recent history.

This Back to School edition of our newsletter helps illustrate the many ways that the school opens new paths forward in clinical care, pharmaceutical science and education. We welcome our newest faculty members and celebrate our new initiatives, including the California Right Meds Collaborative, that are pushing the field forward in California and across the country.

As our school continues extending the range of the role of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists in enhancing health, we continue to work every day to transform the face of pharmacy by leading the convergence of science, health care and policy. Thank you for your support, which helps make it all possible.

Best regards,

Vassilios Papadopoulos, DPharm, PhD, DSc (hon)
Dean, USC School of Pharmacy
John Stauffer Decanal Chair in Pharmaceutical Sciences
