Hou was awarded the Order of Arête for her community service and student leadership, including positions in such organizations as the Associated Students of the School of Pharmacy.

With experience that includes creating databases and administering COVID-19 vaccines, Zaidi confidently heads into his first pharmacy residency.

Matian’s passion for volunteering led her to deliver medications at a hospital and later, at the Mann School, to aid in USC’s COVID-19 vaccination outreach.

Earning two degrees in four years, Montano examined the intersections between pharmacology and drug development and philosophy, politics and law.

The 2023 Mann School graduate speaker went from being a first-generation college student to pursuing doctoral and master’s degrees—all while serving as president of USC’s Graduate Student Government.

Despite challenges, Johnstonbaugh is graduating soon from his dream school. He will speak on behalf of the PharmD Class of 2023 at the USC Mann Commencement Ceremony on May 13.
