Tony Succar, PhD, MScMed(OphthSc), is joining the USC Mann School faculty as assistant professor (teaching track) of the Department of Regulatory and Quality Sciences. Succar is returning to campus after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Opthalmology, Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Prior to joining USC, Succar served as principal instructor at Northeastern University College of Professional Studies, where he taught multiple advanced-level courses in clinical trial design and management, regulatory strategy for product development, regulatory compliance and more. In February, Succar was nominated for Northeastern University’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
Succar served as clinical research project manager at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Sydney, where he also served as clinical lecturer for more than a decade. He also holds a master’s degree in medicine (ophthalmic science) and a graduate certificate in educational studies (higher education) from the university.
