Jiao Joins Faculty

Jiao comes to USC Mann from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where he was a postdoctoral research fellow in health economics.

Boshen Jiao, PhD, MPH, has joined the USC Mann School as assistant professor of pharmaceutical and health economics. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in health economics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Jiao received the 2023 Best General Research Podium Presentation Award from ISPOR, the professional society for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), for the presentation “Value-Based Pricing for Drugs with Accelerated Approval Incorporating Uncertainty and Risk Aversion.”

Previous experience includes roles at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle and the Washington Research Foundation, where he served as research fellow of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).

Jiao holds a PhD in health economics and outcomes research from the University of Washington and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from École des hautes études en santé publique (EHESP French School of Public Health).
