Dr. Stephanie Hsia is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Director of Experiential Assessment at USC Mann. As director of experiential assessment, Dr. Hsia works closely with USC Mann faculty, staff and students to design, enhance, implement and oversee experiential assessment strategies. Dr. Hsia also collaborates with external preceptors and partners to align experiential assessment plans for enhancing the quality of student experiences and success in the program.

Dr. Hsia teaches in a variety of areas, including psychiatric pharmacotherapy, structural humility, health equity, and patient-centered communication. She is also a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor. Dr. Hsia’s primary research expertise is in scholarship of teaching and learning and assessment. She  has conducted research on assessment of student learning outcomes, creation and assessment of anti-oppressive curricula, implementation and impact of incorporating educational technologies in the classroom, and evaluating the impact of psychiatric pharmacists in addressing health disparities. Dr. Hsia has presented numerous presentations for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and received various teaching, educational research, and clinical innovation awards.

    Dr. Hsia's educational research interests are in assessment of student learning outcomes, creation and assessment of anti-oppressive curricula, implementation and impact of incorporating educational technologies in the classroom, and utilization of artificial intelligence in education and assessment.
