
Gopal Mohanty, PhD has joined the USC Mann School as assistant professor of regulatory and quality sciences (teaching track).
Mohanty received his PhD in engineering/industrial management from Wayne State University and a certificate in medical devices and pharmaceuticals from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS).
He currently serves on the FDA’s Device Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Advisory Committee, which advises on regulations governing the manufacturing, packaging, storage and installation of medical devices, helping to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Having held leadership roles at Advanced Energy, Danaher Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Life Technologies, Boston Scientific and Baxter healthcare, Mohanty brings deep expertise in medical technology innovation and regulatory strategy.
