COVID-19 Vaccinations Underway at USC

Following CDC and state health guidelines, COVID-19 vaccinations at USC are first going to health care workers on the front lines of the pandemic.

On Thursday, Keck Medicine of USC received its first shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for health care workers at Keck Medical Center of USC in East Los Angeles and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, Calif.

Both facilities began COVID-19 vaccinations for USC staff in the afternoon, including physicians, nurses, environmental services workers and other staff who are at increased risk of exposure. The health system plans to administer 2,500 vaccines over the next few days.
