The McKenna lab is a medicinal chemistry group interested in several specific research areas: DNA repair mechanisms and their potential for cancer therapeutics, design of nucleotide prodrugs for viral infections, selective bromodomain inhibition, and imaging probes for bone disease. The lab is also studying the mechanism of biological nitrogen fixation.
