
Three members of the USC Mann class of 2026 will address graduates and guests at the 119th USC Mann School Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 15.
Representing doctor of philosophy, doctor of regulatory science and masters’ graduates, Catherine Chester is graduating with a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics. Her research focuses on the use of a Mas receptor agonist as a novel therapy to combat corneal fibrosis. During her time at USC, she served as the senior vice president of the Graduate Student Government and president of the Pharmacy Graduate Alliance.
Representing the doctor of pharmacy graduates, Mark Hanin served as class president for the PharmD Class of 2026. A student ambassador liaison and a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, he also served as president for the USC chapter of the Middle Eastern Pharmacists Association. Hanin took on numerous leadership opportunities at the Mann School and participated in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s Aspiring Academics Program, earning national recognition.
Representing undergraduates, Lamiya Kadir is graduating with a BS in Pharmacology and Drug Development and a minor in Health Care Studies. Through her work as a research assistant at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and a pharmacy technician at CVS Health, she developed a strong passion for public health and aspires to become a clinical pharmacist.
